Bringing inspiring live music to the heart of Aylesbury Old Town

For over 40 years, the Friends of St. Mary’s in the heart of Aylesbury Old Town have attracted a host of artists to perform in front of live audiences.

Discover a wonderful mix of artists, from internationally renowned performers to local ensembles who love to return again and again. The standard of playing is consistently high. You may even be treated to a world premiere!

Concerts are varied, from piano recitals, duos, trios, quartets and even an occasional octet. From classical to contemporary, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Come down Thursday lunchtime and enjoy a little time away from the stresses of life. The performances are fantastic value and you might even find you become one of the increasing numbers of loyal regulars!

How it works

When?

Every Thursday lunchtime*. Doors open at 12:15pm for 12:45pm start and performances usually last around 60 minutes. Please enter quietly as there is a 12 noon service in the Lady Chapel.

*Note that there are no concerts in the second half of December.

How much?

Entry is just £5 per person and under 18s get in free. Card or cash payments are accepted. The price includes the cost of a programme. Additional donations are welcomed and help to subsidise the larger ensembles. Funds generated are used to pay musicians and cover their expenses. Any additional money goes towards heating, cleaning and restoring the church.
